Authorities in eastern Georgia are on the lookout for a man who reportedly left a deceased woman at an Augusta hospital before quickly departing the area.
According to investigators, fingerprint analysis led to the identification of the deceased as 41-year-old Selena Johnson, as reported by WRDW.
A nurse recounted assisting the man in getting the woman, who was lying in the front passenger seat, into the hospital’s emergency room on Monday. At the time, Johnson was unresponsive and not breathing, the nurse noted.
Once the woman was inside the hospital, the man swiftly returned to his vehicle and drove away.
The man was later identified as Michael Lee Harrelson, aged 47, although the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office did not disclose the method used in identifying him.
The sheriff’s office said he was “wanted for questioning” and described him as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 153 pounds, bald, with brown eyes. He has warrants out on an unrelated case.
They asked anyone with information to contact them at 706-821-1020 or 706-821-1080.
