YouTuber Adam the Woo’s passing at the age of 51 in his Florida residence has been attributed to natural causes, as revealed by his autopsy report.

In a heartfelt update shared on Facebook on Monday, Adam’s father, Jim, disclosed that his son succumbed to atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

This condition resulted in a “heart attack in his sleep,” according to Jim’s explanation.

Jim summarized the findings simply, stating, “The short answer is…natural causes,” following the insights from the autopsy.

He further expressed, “Our beloved son… your cherished friend… passed away peacefully from a heart attack in his sleep, likely unaware of the underlying health issues he had.”

Adam had more than 407,000 followers on his YouTube account, and another 85,000 on Instagram.

In a Facebookpost shared on Monday, the star’s father Jim said his son suffered from atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease 

The star – whose birth name was Adam Williams – gained fame documenting his life via vlogging.

Deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the online personality’s Orlando, Florida area home in mid December to conduct a well-being check, a spokeswoman told TMZ. 

Deputies were not able to establish communication with the YouTube star at the time, the spokeswoman said.

Deputies came back to the house more than two hours later, at about 2:50 p.m., after a call reporting an unattended death was filed, officials told the outlet.

Officials said a worried friend of Adam’s used a ladder to look through a window, and saw the YouTube star lying unresponsive on a bed.

The friend had made contact with Adam the day before, according to authorities.  

At that point, deputies and fire rescue workers entered the home, where Adam was pronounced dead once they examined him.

A cause of death was not immediately clear; an autopsy is slated to be conducted by the medical examiner, the outlet reported.

Officials said they told Adam’s father about his passing, the outlet reported. 

In a YouTube bio, Adam described the activities he documented online.

‘I go on adventures,’ he said. ‘Everything from abandoned theme parks to movie locations to wacky roadside attractions.’

Adam, who described himself as ‘an 80s pop culture nerd,’ said he didn’t take himself or his videos ‘too seriously.’ 

Adam initially began posting videos to YouTube in 2009, taking viewers with him to locales such as abandoned theme parks and locations where popular TV shows and movies were made.

That led to a ‘heart attack in his sleep,’ the patriarch was explained. ‘The short answer is…natural causes,’ Jim wrote on Facebook after learning of the autopsy report

In the first years of his YouTube vlogging, Adam was living in a van as he traveled the country, living off donations from viewers. 

Three years into his vlogging endeavor, Adam began a second channel titled TheDailyWoo, where he posted daily for five years. 

It became the more popular of his channels, and he grew in followers as he continued documenting his coming and goings, reaching all 50 states in the U.S.

Adam the Woo was also a major Disney fan and had posted a number of videos stemming from nearby Disney World, as well as Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

He was remembered warmly by fans and fellow content creators as news of his tragic passing spread.

YouTuber Justin Scarred described Adam as ‘one of a kind’ as he remembered him in a lengthy Facebook tribute. ‘We lost Adam. I loved this man with my whole heart and I don’t know what to do or what to say,’ he wrote. 

‘He had so many wonderful friends and knew that he was loved. I don’t know what to do or to say; this comes at horrible time and is most horrible for his family. Please keep THEM in your thoughts and prayers.

‘Adam and I talked about this day so many times. I wish the world could have known the soft and generous heart behind the screen, the laughter and the tears “backstage.” He was a wonderful person, a true friend to me whenever I needed him, and I genuinely don’t know what to do without him.

‘Our beloved son… your beloved friend… died, in essence, of a heart attack in his sleep from health issues he probably never knew he had,’ it was added

‘And not just me. I’ve spent all day on the phone with SO many people who were close to Adam, who he loved and who loved him. He touched many many lives, and he was preparing for another year of adventures, and I’m sure he would have touched even more. And I’m telling you, from a front row seat; he was the best. One of a kind. Irreplaceable.’

Said one fan, ‘He will be remembered by the locals here in central Florida and his fans for years to come. 

‘May he rest in peace and I appreciate Justin for letting everyone know the unfortunate news as many don’t follow his parents nor should people swamp them.’
