Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse tragically killed during an anti-ICE protest in Minnesota over the weekend, has been the subject of misleading claims, according to his sister. She condemned the narrative labeling him as a “domestic terrorist.”

Micayla Pretti, 32, released a statement on Monday night, ardently defending her brother’s reputation, describing him as nothing short of a “hero.”

“Alex was the kind of person who radiated kindness and generosity, bringing light to every room he entered,” Micayla shared in a heartfelt social media post. “He possessed incredible intelligence and a deep passion, always making those around him feel secure.”

“Above all else, he was my brother,” she continued. “For 32 years, I was fortunate to call him my older brother.”

“Now, because of those violent individuals, I can no longer embrace him, share laughter, or seek his comfort,” she expressed. “The pain of this loss is beyond words.”

Pretti, 37, was fatally shot by Border Patrol agents during a confrontation over the arrest of an illegal migrant in south Minneapolis on Saturday.

Video appears to show Pretti filming the arrest scene on his phone as he walks toward the agents, before one federal officer suddenly seems to shove two protesters toward a white SUV.

Pretti was wrestled to the ground and had his gun taken away before being shot, video shows.

Pretti, a lawful gun owner with no criminal record, was carrying his Sig Sauer P320 handgun at the time..

As the agent pushes one of the protesters again, she falls to the ground, at which point Pretti tries to step in between her and the agent.

“All Alex ever wanted was to help someone — anyone. Even in his very last moments on this Earth, he was simply trying to do just that,” Micayla said in her statement.

Agents descend on Pretti and wrestle him to the ground, where a Border Agent then grabs Pretti’s gun from his waistband and begins walking away with it when it appears to discharge, according to video.

The Department of Homeland Security is now probing whether that suspected errant shot caused the surrounding agents to think they were being fired on and return fire.

Officials previously claimed Pretti intended to “massacre” law enforcement or “inflict maximum damage” when federal agents unloaded 10 bullets into him.

They also stated that Pretti “reacted violently” as officers attempted to disarm him and that the agent who shot him did so out of fear for their life and the lives of their fellow officers.

Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller even described Pretti as an “assassin” and a “domestic terrorist” in the aftermath of Saturday’s shooting.

Micayla hit out at the official narrative about her “hero” brother’s death.

“When does this end? How many more innocent lives must be lost before we say enough?” Micayla said.

“Hearing disgusting lies spread about my brother is absolutely gut-wrenching, and my family is deeply grateful so many people have stood up and helped tell his truth. He would be very proud,” Micayla said.
