Kendall Jenner recently embraced the long-standing joke about her ‘cursed’ love life in a playful new ad for Fanatics Sportsbook, showcasing her sense of humor and stunning presence. The 30-year-old supermodel captured attention as she humorously referenced her series of high-profile relationships with NBA players, all while confidently flaunting a striking black swimsuit that highlighted her famously long legs and toned physique.

The commercial opens with Jenner on a sunlit balcony, sipping tea with effortless grace. Breaking the fourth wall, she turns to the camera and delivers her line with perfect comedic timing.

“Haven’t you heard? The internet says I’m cursed,” she remarks dryly, as the rose in her teacup withers dramatically, adding a touch of humor to her statement.

The ad continues to play on the narrative surrounding her romantic history. Jenner cheekily comments, “Any basketball player who dates me kind of hits a rough patch,” before lighting a match and tossing it into a pile of basketball jerseys, embracing the joke with flair and style.

From there, the ad leaned fully into the mythology surrounding her dating history, with Jenner quipping that ‘any basketball player who dates me kind of hits a rough patch,’ before striking a match and tossing it into a basket overflowing with basketball jerseys.

At one point, she sauntered through a lavish mansion lined with portraits of herself alongside former flames, their faces conspicuously ripped out, as she teased: ‘While the world has been talking about it, I’ve been betting on it.’

Jenner then delivered one of the commercial’s most striking moments as she emerged poolside in the minimalist black one-piece, its daring high-cut silhouette accentuating her long limbs as she slipped into the water.

‘This pool?’ she mused. ‘Basketball boyfriend one missed the playoffs… I guess nobody was getting a ring in this house.’

The model continued her tongue-in-cheek tour of luxury, from cruising in a sleek sports car to boarding a private jet, crediting each indulgence to a different ex’s supposed downfall.

‘Boyfriend number two flopped right out of the league,’ she said coolly, before adding from the plane: ‘This cute jet? Thanks boyfriend three!’

Seated onboard, Jenner declared it was time to ‘bet on something new… football players,’ encouraging viewers to place wagers on the Super Bowl via Fanatics Sportsbook.

The flight attendant informed her they were headed to San Francisco for the February 8 showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, prompting Jenner to grin and quip: ‘Football boyfriend.’

As the jet took off, the model toasted with a glass of champagne and delivered the final punchline: ‘The Kardashian curse – it’s not even my last name.’

The commercial, which marks Jenner’s first-ever Super Bowl ad, will air during halftime.

Jenner has previously been romantically linked to a long list of professional athletes, including Devin Booker, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, Jordan Clarkson, Kyle Kuzma, D’Angelo Russell, and Chandler Parsons. 

She dated Booker on and off from 2020 to 2022, while her relationship with Simmons spanned nearly a year between 2018 and 2019.

Most recently, the model has been linked to Bad Bunny, who is set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.

The ad also nods to a family inside joke years in the making.

During season three of the family’s Hulu reality show, sister Kim Kardashian famously roasted Jenner by wearing a T-shirt reading ‘Kendall Starting Five,’ complete with photos of several NBA players she’s dated. 

In 2021, she reflected on her decision to keep her relationships out of the spotlight after seeing her ‘older sisters go through marriages and relationships and break-ups and do them pretty publicly.’ 

Jenner also insisted while appearing on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion she doesn’t ‘only date basketball players’, but admitted she is a fan of the sport and is ‘not ashamed’ to have a type.

Earlier this month, she also addressed long-running speculation about her sexuality while acknowledging that ‘there’s a ‘whole side of the internet that thinks’ she is a lesbian. 

‘You want to know what really bothers me? How mean people are about it,’ she continued. ‘It’s not with, like, a welcoming arm of like, “Hey, if you were, yes, come join.” It’s not kind. It’s very mean. It’s very like, “What the f*** are you doing?”’

She stressed that she does not identify as gay, adding that she wouldn’t hide it if she did.

‘I understand that coming out is not an easy thing for anybody, if not most people,’ The Kardashians star explained.

‘And I’m not saying that’s an easy thing, but knowing, and I can speak for myself here, and knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was. I’m not saying it’s an easy thing. I’m just saying that knowing me and knowing how I would want to live my life, I would be. I’d have no problem being that.’

Jenner added, ‘I think that there’s this whole narrative that I’m hiding this thing … I’ve seen really f—— up things that are like, “It’s bad for business,” and I’m like, “What? How?” I don’t understand it.’

She concluded, ‘All’s to say, as of today, I am not. I don’t think I will be, but I’m not closing doors to experiences in life.’

She then pivoted to her dating history, admitting that while she’s been linked to her fair share of A-listers, not every romance lived up to the hype.

‘I’m actually in a, like, me era right now, I know that might sound corny … but when I turned 29, I had a crash-out about turning 30.’

She continued, ‘When I turned 29, I remember saying to myself, I do feel like I’ve been in [relationships] and there’s nothing wrong with it. I’ve had great relationships, I’ve had not-so-great relationships, but I felt like through my 20s, I was in a lot. I was in a few long-term consistent relationships … near each other.’

Despite the high-profile breakups, Jenner insists she’s ‘definitely a lover’ and remains hopeful she will one day find The One.

She went on to insist she hasn’t given up on romance entirely – even if the road there has been bumpy.

‘I have a ton of dreams for myself, obviously, like, there’s personal ones, which is, like, a beautiful family and things like that,’ she said. ‘[I want to be] in a beautiful relationship with a lot of understanding and love and all those things.’

But turning 29 marked a turning point, with Jenner admitting she’d spent most of her twenties rarely single.

‘I never really had my 20s to myself. When I turned 29, I made a minor commitment to myself,’ she explained.

‘I was, like, “I’m not going to reject anything [and] I’m going to stay open to anything that feels like it would suit me,” but I really wanted to have a “me year” where I chose myself.’

That so-called ‘me year’, she said, wasn’t about cutting men out entirely — just putting herself first.

‘Not to say that didn’t mean that people came into my life or didn’t come into my life, [but] it wasn’t really about that,’ she added. ‘It was just about being, like, “I want to have fun, I want to choose myself and I want to do what I want to do.”’

Even so, Jenner insisted she knows how to show up when romance does take centre stage.

‘I really love to be present for my partner, and I really put them first most of the time,’ she said. ‘So, I think, when I turned 29, I was like, “I really want to put myself first right now.” So, that’s where I’m at.’

And with the benefit of hindsight, she admitted the emotional fallout from her twenties ran deeper than she realized.

‘I felt like I had a bit more trauma from relationships throughout my 20s than I thought I did,’ Jenner said. ‘A lot of it was coming out [and] I was also going through my Saturn return. … It felt like it was never-ending.’

That level of candor is rare for the famously private model, who has long resisted turning her love life into content.

‘For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships,’ she previously told Vogue Australia. ‘I personally think that bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier.’

Jenner was first linked to Styles in late 2013, not long after his split from Taylor Swift, with the pair sparking renewed rumors during a sun-soaked New Year’s getaway in St Barts. 

The will-they-won’t-they continued for years, culminating in a memorable Late Late Show moment in 2019 when Styles ate cod sperm to avoid answering whether his songs were about her.

‘Harry was her first real relationship, so there is a lot of history there,’ a source later said, adding they were ultimately ‘just friends.’

Next came a brief Jonas chapter in 2015, after she was introduced by Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid – though the singer was quick to shut it down. ‘We’re not dating,’ he insisted. ‘We all hang out.’

By 2016, Jenner had moved on with NBA star Jordan Clarkson, with insiders describing the pair as affectionate behind closed doors but casual at heart.

‘They keep things low-key when they’re in public, but in private they’re very much together,’ a source said at the time.

Speculation swirled again when Jenner was repeatedly spotted with A$AP Rocky from Paris to Art Basel, including their infamous Met Gala bathroom snap.

Despite the chemistry, neither ever confirmed they were anything more.
