TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — This Sunday, Florida is bracing for an unusual bout of Arctic weather, with wind chills expected to plummet into the teens across much of the state. Even South Florida could see freezing temperatures.
While such frigid conditions are uncommon in Florida, they’re not unheard of. What stands out about this cold snap is its duration, as the state is set to endure consecutive cold spells. The Tampa Bay area and much of Florida will likely experience below-average temperatures for the coming weeks, interspersed with a few warmer days.
