In a startling revelation, a 25-year-old teacher engaged in a three-and-a-half-hour sexual encounter with a 17-year-old student at her home, while her husband was away on a hunting trip. The incident, which took place in November 2022, has been brought to light through a series of text messages exchanged between the two.
McKenna Kindred, who now stands at the age of 27, had been exchanging flirtatious messages with Elijah Beckley for several months prior to the incident in Spokane, Washington. The affair soon became the talk of Central Valley High School, where Kindred was employed and Beckley was known for his reputation among peers as being intensely focused on sexual pursuits.
The scandal gained wider attention when a friend accessed one of Beckley’s Instagram accounts, uncovering intimate messages from Kindred. In one message, she confessed, “I was sad when you had to leave my room… when other girls talk about you in my class I could feel myself getting mad.”
Further text exchanges hinted at inappropriate interactions at the school itself. Kindred texted Beckley, “We almost got caught. I was sad when that student walked in when he did. I wanted you to hold me. I really like being touched by you,” suggesting that the illicit relationship extended beyond the confines of her home.
Kindred also alluded to encounters at school with the boy, texting him to say: ‘We almost got caught. I was sad when that student walked in when he did. I wanted you to hold me. I really like being touched by you.’
The friend who hacked Beckley’s Instagram account took photos of the messages and reported it to a teacher, who called Spokane Valley Police.
Kindred was arrested and admitted first-degree sexual misconduct in March 2024.

Kindred was sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
She is still with her lawyer husband Kyle and the couple live in a stunning $500,000 home, the Daily Mail revealed earlier this month.
Kindred’s phone underwent a forensic examination after her arrest. Around the time she had sex with Beckley he sent her a message saying ‘Mom glad I can satisfy you’
Kindred liked the message, with Beckley then asking if she had used a sex toy while thinking about him.
She replied: ‘I did.’
Beckley texted her saying ‘U should have video it and save it’ so he could watch, with Kindred replying: ‘Hm next time I need to relearn Snapchat haha.’
After Kindred’s crimes were reported to police, Beckley’s mother Ashley provided investigators with further evidence.
She said she had seen an explicit video her son had sent Kindred of himself and photos Kindred had sent Beckley of her breasts.
The Central Valley High School teacher was spared jail with one year’s probation and a two-year suspended sentence
Ashley also told of how she had seen a message Kindred sent to her son where she talked about using a sex toy on herself.
Beckley was subsequently interviewed by police who told investigators that he started following Kindred on Instagram in June 2022 and that they’d exchanged messages.
The pair sent each other photos of their privates, with Kindred inviting him over to the house she shared with her husband Kyle in November 2022.
Beckley says he got there between 6:30pm and 7pm and that he and Kindred began watching a movie, then kissed.
Beckley and Kindred went on to have sex on the couch for 10 minutes before moving to Kindred’s bedroom.
There, they continued having sex until 10pm that night.
Beckley said that they eventually ‘finished’ and returned to the living room where they ‘hung out’, before having a shower.
He ended up leaving Kindred’s home at 11:30pm that night.

Does this case prove safeguarding in schools still falls short?
Kindred and Beckley are only believed to have had sex on one occasion.
Beckley’s friend who reported the incident said she’d confronted him with her suspicions, saying ‘Mrs. Kindred and you must be f****** because you are always in her room.’
She said the accusation made Beckley very defensive.
Beckley’s mother Ashley also told police that a few weeks before she was confronted with the allegations her son had received ‘gas money through Venmo’ from a teacher.
She told officers that she ‘thought that was kind of inappropriate’ but didn’t ever find out which teacher sent him the money.
At Kindred’s sentencing hearing, she cried while apologizing to Beckley and his family, adding that she was ‘deeply ashamed’ of what she had done.
‘I am truly sorry for my actions,’ Kindred said. ‘I know that this past year has been enormously stressful for all involved.
‘As a result of my actions I’ve lost my career, valuable friendships, freedoms and have let down countless people who placed their trust in me.

Kindred admitted to sneaking the boy into the apartment she shared with her husband in Spokane, Washington, while he was out of town on a hunting trip
‘My mental health has also been severely affected by this event. I am deeply ashamed of the pain I have caused.’
The Daily Mail revealed earlier this month that her husband Kyle has stuck by her despite admitting to the affair.
Court documents showed the couple were living in an apartment in Liberty Lake, outside Spokane, a 13-minute drive from her job at Central Valley High School.
By the time Kindred was sentenced, her home was listed as that of Kyle’s parents, Jason and Karri, in Mica – a rural village in the hills south of Spokane.
The couple appear to have stayed at the $1 million property until they moved to Idaho, where they jointly bought a house of their own for $498,000 in June 2024.
Kindred’s move to Idaho created some drama with the state’s Professional Standards Commission over her teaching license.
The commission opened and an investigation into her after it ‘received an allegation of unethical conduct’.
‘Allegations were made that Ms Kindred surrendered her Washington educator certification and pled guilty [to the charges],’ it wrote.
Kindred voluntarily gave up her license in response, preventing any further action by the commission, according to a document she signed on August 31, 2024.
It is unknown if Kindred is working any job since she was forced to resign from Central Valley High School.
