Johnson County, S.C. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the community for assistance in contacting the relatives of Mr. Luther Fields, whose birthdate is March 26, 18**, and who is interred at Kite City Cemetery.

During a routine patrol and security check, a deputy discovered that Mr. Fields’ gravestone has suffered significant damage, now lying in several fractured pieces. It remains unclear whether this damage resulted from human activity, animals, or environmental conditions, but the stone is evidently broken and displaced.

In an effort to honor Mr. Fields and his family, the sheriff’s office is seeking help to inform his next of kin so that the gravestone can be properly repaired and restored to its original condition.

If you are a family member, have information about any relatives, or can assist in identifying or reaching out to Luther Fields’ family, please contact the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

You can reach them on Facebook, where a representative from the Public Relations Office will respond to inquiries.

We appreciate the continued support of our community in helping us protect and preserve the history and dignity of those laid to rest here in Johnson County.
