Jeff Lewis revealed that Alex Baskin and his team at 32 Flavors have labeled him as the “most challenging talent” they collaborate with, a title previously attributed to Dorit Kemsley. Jeff also offered his perspective on why he might have earned this reputation.
Back in 2018, Jeff’s popular series, Flipping Out, was dropped by the network. However, last year Bravo announced Jeff’s return with a new series depicting his life, tentatively titled Still Flipping Out.
During an episode of Jeff Lewis Live, Jeff discussed his involvement with Alex’s production company, 32 Flavors, which is behind the upcoming reboot.
“According to [32 Flavors], I am by far the most challenging talent they have on their roster,” Jeff stated, as reported by @bravosnarkside on Instagram. “And interestingly, that title used to belong to Dorit, or so they say.”
“But they said I’m miles ahead of her,” he added.
“[Did] Alex tell you that?” asked guest star Tamra Judge.
“Alex and [president] Jenn Levy,” said Jeff. “But here’s the thing: [It’s] because I push back, I negotiate, I protect my people.”
Back in November, BravoTV shared more details about the reboot: “In his new Bravo series, Jeff Lewis is as outspoken as ever, but this time the mic is always on. Lewis navigates the hilariously unpredictable nature of his professional and personal lives as his trademark spontaneity collides with the people who work with him, for him and still somehow survive him. Jeff Lewis can still flip out when he wants to, and he calls that personal growth.”
“Jeff Lewis has always been authentically himself, and that’s exactly why fans have followed him across different platforms and mediums,” said NBCUniversal exec Rachel Smith. “His humor and knack for beautiful chaos have only grown since Flipping Out. Bringing him back to Bravo feels less like a return and more like picking up right where we left off.”
A year earlier, Jeff teased the show on Jeff Lewis Live.
“We’ve been kind of hinting at the fact that there is a new television show on the horizon, and we have not given any details,” he said at the time. “All I can tell you is it’ll be a docuseries … You can kind of think of it like a Flipping Out reboot, Flipping Out 2.0, and I’m really very, very, very excited.”
