Ariana Grande thanks fans as canceled tour tickets go back on sale

Ariana Grande and Ticketmaster are taking steps to ensure that more of her dedicated fans have access to tickets for her much-anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour.

On Wednesday, Ticketmaster provided an update regarding the 32-year-old singer’s tour via social media, following an earlier cancellation of certain tickets that had breached purchase agreements.

The announcement stated, “Last October, we collaborated with the tour to cancel a segment of tickets identified as violating our ticket purchase terms.”

Ticketmaster emphasized that their priority is to reallocate those tickets directly to genuine fans through a request process set to begin in February. This initiative aims to prevent tickets from falling into the hands of individuals who exploit the system.

While the selection process will be largely random, Ticketmaster assured that they will give priority to fans who were not at fault but had their resale tickets canceled due to sellers’ non-compliance with terms.

The Wicked star reposted the message to her own Instagram Stories, thanking her fans for their ‘patience.’

‘Love you all so much and thank you for your patience… more information soon,’ she wrote.

Grande’s team reportedly ‘worked really hard to keep prices down,’ a source told People.

The source explained that they skipped ‘platinum and price scaling,’ a system that adjusts ticket prices in real time according to demand. This meant fewer tickets ended up on resale sites, which in turn pushed prices higher than normal.

Not all fans were appeased by the announcement.

‘We appreciate this but why not turn off the resale prices for each n every show?? there’s no reason why the cheapest ticket for every show is like $800 dollars ???!!!’ one wrote.

‘TURN OFF RESALE & HAVE THEM PRICED ONLY AT FACE VALUE,’ another wrote.

‘No like this is kinda insane. canceled tickets getting priority but what about people who couldnt even buy tickets initially. not my problem that people bought resell tickets at $1k+,’ someone else chimed in.

‘p.s. the only ACTUAL solution would be to cancel & re list ALL of the reseller tickets for face value & put a 1 – 2 ticket limit for each order.’

Last September, Grande said she was bothered’ after her Eternal Sunshine tour sold out within minutes and scalpers were already attempting to resell tickets with hiked-up prices.

The singer-songwriter took to her Instagram Story to address her fans’ concerns and said she is ‘fighting for a solution’ so they can attend her long-awaited tour in 2026.

This came after some of her fans vented about how they were unable to purchase tickets during the presale and general sale.

Many resale tickets from third party retailers were priced at over 10 times the face value for several of her shows, and Grande assured fans that she had been ‘on the phone every second of my free time’ even though she had been ‘on set all week.’

She shared a post writing: ‘hi my angels, i have been on set all week but i wanted to let you know that what’s been happening with the secondary ticket resellers has been brought to my attention.’

The pop star added: ‘and of course i am incredibly bothered by it.’

The Supernatural hitmaker continued, ‘i’ve been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution. i hear you and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs. it’s not right.’

She assured her fans that she and her team ‘are doing everything we can.’

She said she ‘just wanted you to know that my team and i see it and that i care very much and we will do, and are doing everything we can. i love you all so much and thank you for your patience and understanding.’

Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour, launching in June, will be her first in six years.

Grande first announced last August that she planned to tour her album, which she released in February 2024.

Her heartfelt post to her fans about her future shows came after her Eternal Sunshine album helped her take home the Best Pop award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

Her single Brighter Days Ahead also took home Video of the Year.

During her acceptance speech, she gushed about her ‘fiercely loving and supportive fans’ and teased her forthcoming concerts by telling them: ‘We’ll see you on tour!’
