BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — On Thursday morning, a fatal shooting in Bradford County resulted in the deaths of two individuals, as confirmed by the sheriff’s department.

The BCSO indicated that the couple had been experiencing persistent domestic conflict.

Around 5:15 a.m., the Bradford County Communications Center received a “911 hang-up call” originating from NE 6th Lane in Starke.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man, identified as Loyd Alan Keer, deceased with a gunshot wound to the head near the home’s entrance. Nearby, a woman named Rachael Renee Kerr was found in the yard with a gunshot wound to the neck. Both law enforcement and medical personnel attempted resuscitation efforts on the scene.

However, shortly after paramedics arrived, she was pronounced deceased.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community.
