The ugly incident that really should keep Bill Belichick out of Hall of Fame

Once again, I’m left questioning whether the sports media truly captures the pulse of sports enthusiasts. The uproar surrounding the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s decision to overlook Bill Belichick has sparked considerable debate, but one must ask: Who is really outraged?

Personally, I abstain from participating in such voting processes, and I have no intention of ever doing so. The responsibility of defending or criticizing the selections of others is not one I wish to bear, especially when I already grapple with less-than-ideal candidates come election season in November.

If I were to cast a vote, however, it wouldn’t be for Belichick.

This decision is not influenced by the lingering allegations of cheating, his dependence on Tom Brady, his notorious disdain for sports journalists, or even his controversial relationship with a significantly younger partner, whose motives have been questioned. These factors, while often highlighted, do not sway my judgment.
