BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. – In a significant development, Congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina revealed on Friday morning that the Department of Veterans Affairs has chosen a site for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Beaufort County.

Set to be established at 1844 Ribaut Road in Port Royal, the clinic’s location was strategically chosen for its accessibility to Parris Island and the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. This spot is ideally suited to serve the 16,881 veterans residing in Beaufort County.

Through the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Rep. Mace successfully secured funding of $30,646,000 to bring this project to life.

This funding will be utilized to build a state-of-the-art outpatient facility that aims to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to veterans in the region.

  • Primary care
  • Mental health services
  • Counseling
  • Critical VA programs

In addition to providing essential healthcare, the clinic’s development will generate construction and healthcare employment opportunities, thus boosting the local economy in the Lowcountry. The facility is slated to begin operations in 2028.
