KISSIMMEE, Fla. – On Friday night, a cyclist sustained injuries after being hit by an SUV in Kissimmee, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities are currently on the lookout for the driver involved in the incident.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Royal Point Avenue and South Poinciana Road.
According to troopers, the cyclist was struck by what is believed to be a dark-colored Jeep, which subsequently fled the scene, heading northeast on Poinciana Boulevard.
The injured bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where it was confirmed that his injuries were not life-threatening.
The cyclist was taken to an area hospital. Troopers say he had non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
