Minnesota’s Effort to Halt ICE’s Operation Metro Surge Denied by Federal Judge

A federal judge has turned down Minnesota’s plea to promptly stop Operation Metro Surge, an initiative led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In a decision made on Saturday, the court ruled that the state along with two cities did not satisfy the stringent legal criteria necessary to halt a federal law enforcement action at this early point in the proceedings.
