Among the latest revelations from the Epstein files, a set of photos has emerged capturing former President Bill Clinton immersed in a celebratory moment with Ghislaine Maxwell. In one image, the former president, now 79, is seen enthusiastically digging into a sizeable cake, sharing slices with those aboard a private jet.
Meanwhile, another photo shows Maxwell snapping a picture of the fruit-adorned confection, surrounded by four men who appear to be enjoying the jovial atmosphere, although Clinton isn’t part of this particular group.
Additional images capture Clinton licking icing from his fingers as he hands out portions of the cake on white plates. Assisting him in this task is a woman whose identity remains undisclosed due to a redacted face.
In response to these photographs, Clinton’s representatives reiterated to the Daily Mail that while the images are newly public, they maintain that President Clinton was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities. They also pointed out that most individuals present in the photos were Secret Service agents and staff accompanying him on flights.
Representatives for Clinton told the Daily Mail on Saturday: ‘These photos are newly released, but for years, we’ve made clear President Clinton had no idea about Epstein’s crimes and note that most of the individuals in the photographs are Secret Service agents and staff who were with him on every flight.
The photos come after the Department of Justice dropped more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images this week in the latest drop.
It comes nearly six weeks after the DOJ’s deadline to make the entire data set public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump signed into law in November.
Todd Blanche, deputy attorney general, today said the images and videos made public include ‘extensive redactions’ to protect survivors of Epstein’s crimes.
They include pictures of Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence after she was convicted of recruiting and grooming underage girls for abuse by Epstein between 1994 and 2004.
Being named or pictured in the files is not necessarily an indication of wrongdoing.
