Kelly Dodd recently took to social media to clarify her decision not to finance her daughter Jolie Dodd’s college education. This announcement comes in the wake of a leaked voicemail where the former Real Housewives of Orange County star was heard in a heated exchange with 19-year-old Jolie.

In a candid video shared earlier this month, the 50-year-old reality TV personality expressed her frustration, pointing fingers at her ex-husband, Michael Dodd, and her brother, Eric Meza, for not stepping in to assist. In the video, Kelly questioned why she should support someone who she feels has been disrespectful and unwilling to maintain a relationship with her.
“Why would I pay for someone who doesn’t want to talk to me or have a relationship with me?” Kelly questioned a follower during a live interaction on TikTok, which was captured in a clip by Chai Spilla on January 13.
Kelly further stated that she does not intend to reward what she perceives as poor behavior. “This is her responsibility, not mine,” she emphasized, indicating that Jolie must navigate her own path without financial support from her. “Sorry, I’m not going to,” she concluded.
“I’m not gonna reward bad behavior. This is on her. This isn’t on me. This is on her. She’s gotta figure it out. Sorry. I’m not going to,” Kelly continued.
She then turned her attention to Michael, saying, “He’s got one kid, one child,” as she wondered why he and her brother, who slammed her as “demonic” and accused her of being abusive towards Jolie after the leaked voicemail, couldn’t “come up with $10,000 between the both of them.”
“What losers,” she declared.
As the video continued, a follow-up Kelly had shared on January 27 was seen
“I guess Jolie, good news on Jolie, I guess her dad ended up paying for her school, and she’s back in France,” Kelly revealed as she and her husband, Rick Leventhal, 66, agreed that it was “good for her.”
“She got straight As. Isn’t it funny how that works? When you start doing things yourself,” Kelly added.

Amid their messy feud at the end of last year, Kelly spoke to Us Weekly, confirming she apologized to her child and revealing she’d like to have her back in her life.
“I apologized to Jolie. All I want is Jolie back in my life,” she said. “I have been trying to narrow the gap and bring Jolie back. I talked to her that way because it was out of anger and frustration.”
“Should I have done it? No. Did I apologize? Yeah, I did. But she doesn’t know how to move on, and she’s getting bad advice from bad people, and she has a lot of growing up to do,” she concluded.
