Though Ozzy Osbourne is no longer with us, his legacy endures.

Emotions ran high as Post Malone, Slash, and other artists gathered on the Grammys 2026 stage Sunday night to honor the iconic Prince of Darkness.

Post Malone, who collaborated with Osbourne on the 2019 hit “Take What You Want,” delivered a powerful performance of Black Sabbath’s classic “War Pigs,” captivating the audience with his vocals.

Slash paid homage to the legendary “Crazy Train” and “Shot in the Dark” artist by shredding on the guitar, accompanied by Guns N’ Roses’ bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, adding a dynamic rhythm to the tribute.

As images from Osbourne’s illustrious career played on the screen, the audience was moved by glimpses of his family, including his widow, Sharon Osbourne, and their children, Jack, Kelly, and Aimee, as they watched the heartfelt homage unfold.

Yungblud, who won this year’s Grammy for best rock performance for his live cover of Ozzy’s “Changes,” also remembered the late heavy metal pioneer during his acceptance speech earlier in the day.

“To grow up loving an idol who helps you figure out your identity not only as a musician but also as a man is something that I’m truly grateful for,” Yungblud, 28, began.

“For then to get to know them and form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show and then receive this, the cost of it is something I and all of us are finding so strange to comprehend,” he added. “We f–king love you, Ozzy.”

The “Zombie” singer went on to thank Ozzy’s family for the opportunity.

“The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, you asked if there’s anything you could do for me,” Yungblud, who was joined on the stage by Sharon, continued.

“I answered the music was enough and I can safely say on behalf of all of us that still stands now and will forever,” he said. “You’ll be with me every time I’m nervous and onstage at every show.”

Yungblud finished his speech by saying, “God bless rock music and god bless f–king Ozzy Osbourne.”

Ozzy’s family announced his tragic passing on July 22, 2025. He was 76.

His cause of death was later determined to be from cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the “Dreamer” singer’s loved ones said in a statement to The Post at the time.

“He was his family and surrounded by love,” they added. “We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

The former Black Sabbath frontman was laid to rest in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 31.

Tens of thousands of fans visited the Black Sabbath bridge and bench on Broad Street to leave tributes, flowers and letters for the late heavy metal pioneer.

Two weeks before his death, Ozzy performed one final show with Black Sabbath during the band’s “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert in Birmingham.

“You know, it’s just such a beautiful thing that his peers are showing their love and respect for his work tonight, and it’s going to be an emotional experience for us,” Kelly said on the Grammys 2026 red carpet before the ceremony, per People.

“My father was one of the greatest men to ever live [on] the planet,” she added. “And to show I don’t have enough gratitude to the Grammys for what they’re doing tonight. You know, it’s a really beautiful thing.”
