Jelly Roll has urged the NFL to embrace a country music-themed Super Bowl halftime show, suggesting he should even have a small role in it.
The Grammy-winning artist, who recently took home the award for Best Contemporary Country Album, shared his bold proposal with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell while on the red carpet at the glitzy awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Jelly Roll first insisted that the NFL’s premier event should be hosted in Nashville in the near future, once the Tennessee Titans unveil their new $2.1 billion stadium.
He then elaborated on his idea for a spectacular halftime performance if Nashville is selected as the host city.
In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, the 41-year-old expressed, “There’s a possibility that the Super Bowl might come to Nashville within the next three to five years.”
‘We are getting a new stadium and I have a dream that they do a country music-themed halftime show. Maybe they just let me do a little 20 or 30 seconds in it.

A country music halftime show would most likely go down much better in America than the decision to award the honor to Bad Bunny for this year’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
The announcement that Bad Bunny will perform was first made in late September, instantly placing the singer and rapper at the center of a political firestorm.Â
Within days, the choice drew sharp rebukes from high-ranking government officials who questioned the artist’s past criticisms of U.S. immigration policies. He previously cited ICE agents as a reason he did not include any mainland US dates for his tour.
Donald Trump was among those to criticize the decision and he later revealed that he would not be attending the game due to the Puerto Rican’s selection.

The Change.org petition, which was started by Kar Shell, describes the halftime show as a celebration of ‘the cultural tapestry of America’ despite recent performances leaning ‘increasingly towards modern pop and international artists.’
It then goes on to argue the case for 73-year-old Strait, the iconic singer, songwriter, actor and producer considered by many as the ‘King of Country Music.’Â

With tensions high across America, Bad Bunny could not help but criticize ICE when he was presented with one of the Grammys’ iconic gramophones on Sunday.Â
He said: ‘Before I say thanks to god, I’m going to say, ICE Out.’
He received a massive ovation from the crowd before he continued his speech. ‘We are not savage. We are not animals. We are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.
‘The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.
‘We don’t hate them, we love our people, we love our family, and that’s the way to do it, with love.’
