The mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, who is 84 years old, has been declared missing from her residence in Arizona.

Nancy Guthrie was last spotted in the Catalina Foothills region near Tucson, just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, as reported by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Her family reported her disappearance around noon on Sunday, according to Sheriff Chris Nanos.

Despite some physical challenges, she does not have any cognitive impairments, he noted.

Nanos mentioned that search and rescue operations, complete with dogs and aerial support, are actively underway to locate Guthrie.

“We’ve pretty much thrown everything at this we can,” he said.

Nanos said investigators were concerned because of what they found at the scene.

“This one stood out because of what was described to us at the scene and what we found and located just in looking at the scene,” Nanos said, declining to say if investigators suspected foul play.

“I hope it’s not,” he said. “I hope we find her. I hope we find her safe and sound.”

Nanos also declined to describe what investigators found concerning about the scene.

Nancy Guthrie is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
