STONEY CREEK, Tenn. (WJHL) — On Monday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a house fire in Carter County, where all residents safely escaped. However, one of the home’s occupants reported that at least one pet remained missing.

The incident occurred on Patricia Ann Drive in Stoney Creek, drawing local emergency responders to the scene.

Fire Chief Ken Arnold informed News Channel 11 that the blaze likely originated near the home’s chimney and quickly spread through the ceiling to the roof.

Responding to the emergency, volunteer fire departments from Stoney Creek, Hampton, and Shady Valley collaborated in battling the flames. Despite their efforts, Arnold indicated that the initial assessment suggested the house might be a total loss.

A resident expressed concern over some missing pets, although no human injuries were reported, according to Arnold.
