Whoopi Goldberg Criticizes Trump Administration Over Epstein Files: “Disrespectful to Victims

The hosts of The View have taken a firm stance against the Trump administration’s handling of recently unveiled documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. These documents, which contain thousands of emails, reveal not only the names of Epstein’s associates but also those of his victims.

Whoopi Goldberg expressed her outrage over the failure to redact the victims’ names, describing it as a blatant disregard for the individuals affected by Epstein and his network.

“The lack of redaction for the victims’ names is a clear insult,” Goldberg remarked on Monday’s (Feb. 2) episode of The View. “There was an awareness that these documents would be released, so why was there no effort to protect the victims’ identities?”

She emphasized the point by stating, “It’s a message to them, saying, ‘We don’t care about your privacy or safety.’” Goldberg urged viewers to consider this issue when casting their votes in the upcoming midterm elections this fall.

“As you head to the polls, remember where your candidates stood on this matter, along with other critical issues we are facing,” she concluded.

Monday’s broadcast featured a clip of Epstein survivor Danielle Bensky speaking out about the documents containing “a trove of victims’ information” on Erin Burnett Outfront. “If you’re not protecting survivors, then who are you protecting?” she asks.

In another clip shared during the Hot Topics segment, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said their review of the documents “is over,” noting the information provided “doesn’t allow us necessarily to prosecute somebody,” which The View hosts said was “unjust.”

“What that man said was a big middle finger to every woman out there,” Goldberg said. “It was a ‘We don’t care, we don’t really care what they do to you, because we’re in charge and we make these decisions.’”

“It’s very clear to me you don’t care, that’s why you left everybody’s names in there!” she added.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
