The NFL has responded to major revelations concerning Steve Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants, following reports linking him to the infamous ‘Epstein files’.
Tisch’s name surfaced multiple times in a recent batch of documents released by the Department of Justice, shedding light on communications involving the notorious New York financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Ahead of Super Bowl LX, which features the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, the league took the opportunity on Monday to address the ongoing controversy.
The connection between Tisch and Epstein became public knowledge last Friday when over three million documents associated with the late financier were made available to the public.
In a statement provided to Daily Mail following the document release, Tisch explained, “We had a brief association during which we exchanged emails about adult women, alongside discussions about movies, philanthropy, and investments.”

Exchanges between Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein were published Friday by the DOJ
‘I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.’Â
Epstein died by suicide in his jail cell at the age of 66 a month after he was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges.
In the emails between Tisch, a successful Hollywood film producer, an Epstein show the two discussing a number of women and organizing meetings with them, according to The Athletic.
Among the emails included an offer from Tisch to Epstein to watch a Giants game in his suite, extending that invitation to others. Additionally, Epstein invited Tisch to come to his private island in the Caribbean. While Tisch denies ever visiting, it’s unclear if this is true.
In May 2013, Epstein emailed Tisch, 76, while he was sat in an NFL meeting before their conversation continued later in the day.
‘I can invite the (Russian) … to meet if you like,’ Epstein wrote. ‘Is she fun?’ Tisch replied just a minute later.
A month later, Tisch contacted Epstein about a specific woman, to which he replied: ‘(Tahitian) speaks mostly french exotic’
Tisch wrote back asking if she was a ‘working girl?’ before Epstein replied ‘never’.

Later in June 2013 when seemingly discussing a different woman, Tisch asked Epstein: ‘Is my present in NYC?’
Epstein replied ‘Yes’ and Tisch emailed again the following morning to ask: ‘Can I get my surprise to take me to lunch tomorrow?’
In a separate conversation, Epstein asked Tisch if he had reached out to ‘the great a** fake t** (name redacted) she’s a character, short term, has an older boyfriend going to acting school, a 10 ass.’
Tisch replied: ‘Thanks Jeffrey. Curious to know about (name redacted). I will contact (name redacted)… pro or civilian?’
Epstein said back: ‘civilian, but Russian, and rarely tells the full truth, but fun.’
After Tisch had seemingly met up with one of Epstein’s women, he passed on her feedback about the Giants exec.
Epstein wrote: ‘report just in, you did very well, she wants to go to the play, she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow … i will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine. having her crying worked.’
Tisch said in response: ‘Nice report … Funny comment on crying!!!’

The emails also show that some of Epstein’s women were hoping to use Tisch to get a foothold in the movie business.
‘Gonna meet Steve Tisch next week for a dinner,’ one wrote to Epstein. ‘He said that he gonna work on 3 movies starting June. So I’ll ask if I can read scripts and maybe audition for some part.’
Tisch is a producer and partner at Escape Artists Entertainment. He produced the iconic Tom Hanks movie ‘Forrest Gump’, as well as other critically-acclaimed hits like ‘Snatch’, ‘American History X’ and ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’.
The Mara and Tisch families own 45 per cent of the Giants franchise, with the other 10 per cent acquired by the Koch family last year.
During their ownership, the Giants have won two Super Bowls. But in recent years the franchise has struggled and they have made the playoffs just twice in 14 seasons.
Tisch and the Mara family recently made the decision to hire John Harbaugh as the Giants’ new head coach after firing Brian Daboll last season.
