Halle Berry and her partner, Van Hunt, continue to enjoy a thriving relationship.
The couple was recently spotted taking a leisurely evening walk through the chilly streets of New York City, displaying their affection as Hunt wrapped an arm around Berry.
Dressed warmly for the outing, Berry sported a stylish long, double-breasted coat paired with jeans and boots. Meanwhile, Hunt opted for a plaid shirt and green pants, topped with a hooded parka.
Since they began dating in 2020, Berry, 59, and Hunt, 55, have maintained a strong bond, though Berry appears in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
According to a source quoted by People, “They have discussed marriage, but Halle seems content with the current situation. She just wants everything to remain as it is.”
The source added, “Being in a relationship with Van Hunt has been wonderful for Halle. He really gets her and treats her so well. She’s very grateful.”
Berry revealed Hunt already proposed to her during a joint interview the couple did with Today.com in June 2025, but she put him “on hold.”
Hunt shared, “So I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold, as you can see. It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her.”
But Berry explained, “We don’t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way. We don’t.”
She made it clear, however, that the issue was not with Hunt, whom she publicly called the love of her life in 2021.
“I think we will get married just because, out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married,” she gushed.
“And I feel like I should, we should get married, but it’s not because we feel like we have to. I think it’s something that we would like to do just because we want that expression.”
The Oscar-winning actress has been married three times.
Her first husband was MLB athlete David Justice, whom she was married to from 1993-1997. She married singer Eric Benét in 2001, and their divorce was finalized in 2005. Her third husband was French actor Olivier Martinez, whom she was married to from 2013-2016.
Berry has two children: daughter Nahla, 17, with ex Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo, 12, with Martinez.
