In a heartfelt social media message, “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support as efforts continue to locate her missing mother. She implored, “bring her home,” emphasizing the urgency and emotional weight of the situation.

Her mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing since Saturday evening. Last spotted around 9:30 p.m. at her residence in the Tucson area near Phoenix, Nancy’s disappearance was reported by her family on Sunday around noon. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has confirmed that the case is being treated as a potential crime, noting that Nancy’s limited mobility and other circumstances suggest she did not leave voluntarily, although he refrained from providing additional details.

To aid in the search, authorities have deployed drones, search dogs, and enlisted the help of volunteer search and rescue teams. Support from the Border Patrol and the homicide team has also been enlisted to ensure a comprehensive search effort.

In a statement shared through NBC’s “Today” show on Monday, Savannah Guthrie conveyed her deep appreciation for the community’s support during this distressing time, underscoring the hope and determination to safely bring her mother back home.

Savannah Guthrie issued a statement on Monday, NBC’s “Today” show reported.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” she said. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear Nancy.”

Savannah Guthrie grew up in Tucson, graduated from the University of Arizona and previously worked as a reporter and anchor at KVOA-TV in Tucson.
