Several Bahama Breeze locations, including the one in Jacksonville, are set to close as part of a broader decision affecting the Caribbean-themed restaurant chain. Some of these sites will be transformed into other dining establishments under the Darden Restaurants umbrella.
ORLANDO, Fla. — After three decades in operation, Bahama Breeze, known for its Caribbean-inspired casual dining experience, will be shutting down. The announcement was made by its parent company, Darden Restaurants, which revealed plans to permanently close 14 Bahama Breeze locations across nine different states.
Darden Restaurants further outlined that the remaining 14 establishments will undergo a transformation, being converted into other Darden brand eateries over the next 12 to 18 months. While the specifics of these conversions remain undisclosed, Darden’s portfolio includes popular names such as Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.
