Inside Scoop: Carl Radke Reveals Truth Behind Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s Split Amid DJ Career Rumors

The conclusion of Season 8 of Summer House saw Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard end their engagement. Season 9 wrapped up with Paige DeSorbo parting ways with Craig Conover. Now, the premiere of Season 10 marks the final chapter for Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke as a couple, with the pair announcing their separation.

After marrying in 2021, Batula and Cooke revealed last month that they are ending their four-year marriage, which came after a decade-long relationship. Longtime fans of the show are aware of the ups and downs the couple faced, and Cooke’s emerging DJ career seemed to strain their relationship further, especially against Batula’s wishes for a more subdued lifestyle.

“We should all take a moment to offer Amanda our full support,” Radke commented. “I’m supporting Kyle, too. They’re like family to me. It’s challenging to share so much of your life in the public eye for the past decade.”

Radke, who is a close friend of the couple and officiated their wedding, observed the strain Cooke’s DJ aspirations put on their relationship during the Season 10 premiere. When asked by DECIDER about the role this played in their separation, the More Life podcast host reflected, “There are numerous factors at play. It’s easy to point to his music career, but it’s much more complex than that.”

Radke further elaborated, “Their personalities at times didn’t align perfectly. They truly loved each other, but sometimes, love alone isn’t enough to sustain a relationship,” he shared while visiting DECIDER’s studio to discuss both the new season of Summer House and his podcast, available weekly across major platforms.

Radke, who went through his own public breakup with Hubbard almost three years ago, was hopeful that “a little bit of space and some healing” would help them come together in the future. After all, if he and Hubbard could find their way back to friendship, anyone can!

“If anything, we’re maybe a little bit of a roadmap to being in a better place down the line,” he said, referring to his relationship with Hubbard these days. Though, as Radke noted, that might come sooner rather than later for his friends. According to the Soft Bar founder, there was a “lightness and an air of friendliness” between Batula and Cooke when the Summer House cast made their press rounds together last week.

“It made me really happy to see them getting along and friendly and everything was pretty good, honestly, all things considered. I’m really trying to be there for them,” he said. “I think as the show starts airing, it’s certainly going to show some cracks in the foundation, but we kind of know how it ends now in a way. So I hope it maybe will lessen some of the intensity of some of it. They had a rough summer. Kyle, for sure, had a rough summer.”

Summer House airs Tuesday nights at 8/7c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
