Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Explores Divine Forgiveness and the Paradox of Hell in Thought-Provoking Sermon

  • Pastor Tobi Adegboyega has stirred debate after questioning forgiveness, salvation, and the challenge of living a sin-free life after being forgiven.
  • He noted that while God is forgiving, the existence of hell raises serious questions about how believers live after receiving forgiveness.

Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega has once again stirred online discussions with his provocative statements on forgiveness, the afterlife, and human behavior.

In a sermon that has gained widespread attention, the pastor based in the UK challenged traditional beliefs about salvation and the certainty of entering heaven. Adegboyega pointed out that although God embodies forgiveness, the very concept of hell presents significant dilemmas regarding how the faithful conduct their lives post-forgiveness.

“Our God is a forgiving God, yet He created hell,” Adegboyega remarked.

He further argued that forgiveness is not a foolproof ticket to heaven, emphasizing that humans remain susceptible to sin even after being absolved.

“For those who assume they are destined for heaven, the only way to ensure entry is to be forgiven and then pass away immediately, as it seems almost like a trap. You’re forgiven, but you still have perhaps 50 more years to navigate,” he explained.

The pastor further questioned how believers can realistically avoid sinning again over the course of their lives, given human weaknesses and daily temptations.

“How do you avoid sinning again in the future?” he asked.

In other news….A young lady named Don Christabel has tragically passed away under unclear circumstances, just days after she publicly mourned the loss of a close friend on social media.

Christabel had shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, expressing her grief over her friend’s untimely death. In her post, she reflected on the depth of their bond, describing her friend as someone who left this world too soon. That post would eventually become her final message online.

She wrote:

“In you, Dera, I see the true meaning of friendship. Real friendship is rare and hard to find. I believe that wherever the sunshine is now, her spirit will rest knowing that she was loved and cared for. Rest in peace 🪦 to the sunshine. Rest in the Lord. Omo, grave dey eat ooooooo.”
