Ex-Beaufort Preschool Worker Indicted on Federal Child Sex Crime Charges in Iowa

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. — A preschool worker from Beaufort, originally detained in January over child sex offenses, is now confronting federal accusations in Iowa, as confirmed on Thursday.

Brandon Scott Baker, 38, residing on St. Helena Island, was apprehended at the Sea Island Sprouts preschool on January 27. Local authorities in Beaufort County charged him with one count of second-degree and two counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
