Tragedy struck in Melbourne’s northern suburbs overnight as a woman lost her life in a collision involving her vehicle and a truck.
Authorities responded to reports of a serious accident at approximately 3:20 a.m. near the intersection of Hume Highway and Wallan-Whittlesea Road in Wallan. According to initial reports, a car had crashed into a truck at this location.
The woman behind the wheel of the car, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The truck driver, a man, escaped the incident without injury.
Police are investigating the details of the crash.
