A captivating new mystery series featuring comedic stars Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, and Paula Pell is set to debut, and it’s already generating buzz.
Titled The ‘Burbs, the series features Palmer and Whitehall as Samira and Rob, a newlywed couple who decide to leave city life behind and settle into Rob’s childhood home in the seemingly idyllic suburb of Hinkley Hills. Promoted as “the safest town in America,” their new neighborhood quickly reveals its darker side. Samira becomes increasingly uneasy upon discovering that a teenage girl was reportedly murdered in the eerie house next door. Her concerns escalate with the arrival of a mysterious neighbor, which unravels hidden secrets and threatens the tranquility of their picture-perfect cul-de-sac.
Beyond her starring role, Palmer also takes on the role of executive producer for the series. Joining the ensemble cast are Julia Duffy, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar, who add depth to this intriguing production.
The brainchild of Dead to Me writer Celeste Hughey, the series draws inspiration from Tom Hanks’ classic 1989 horror-comedy The Burbs. Comprising eight episodes, this exciting new comedy is set to make its debut soon.
