Last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live was one for the history books, offering viewers plenty of memorable moments.
Hosted by Alexander Skarsgard, the show marked the 1,000th episode of the iconic late-night series, and it lived up to the occasion. While Ashley Padilla continued to impress with her standout performance in the “Mom Confession” sketch, it was Jane Wickline who emerged as a real star of the evening.
Wickline, a sophomore cast member, was uproariously funny as a hesitant Olympian in the witty “Winter Olympics Promo” sketch. She also delivered a line in “Play Date” that might just be the year’s funniest: “Stop asking her if she knows stuff.” Her comedic timing was impeccable, and she garnered even more laughs with her over-the-top Scandinavian accent in “Scandinavian Movie 2,” despite it being a smaller role. This episode undeniably ranks among the funniest of the season.
