Meghan Markle’s Recent Setback: TV Insider Claims It’s the ‘Final Straw’ for Prince Harry’s Struggles

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, has been the center of attention this week, not for its success, but due to a wave of criticism. Talk TV host Kevin O’Sullivan offered a harsh critique of the Duchess of Sussex’s business efforts, following reports from the New York Post about her struggles to sell her luxury jam. According to the report, unsold jars of the product were allegedly distributed among Netflix employees, suggesting a lack of consumer interest.

Despite denials from both Netflix and Meghan’s representatives, who dismissed the claims as false, O’Sullivan argued that the duchess’s failure to sell what he described as “mundane domestic products” might spell doom for As Ever. In his words, “This could be the beginning of the end for her troubled online business, which never seemed to find its footing. It’s as popular as the disgraced Prince Andrew.”

Royal expert Samara Gill, who joined O’Sullivan on the broadcast, expressed concerns about the financial future of Meghan and Prince Harry. She speculated that their ongoing detachment from the Royal Family and former Hollywood connections, such as the Kardashians, could lead to financial difficulties.

Kim Kardashian, once a close friend, recently found herself in an awkward position when she had to remove a photo of herself with Meghan from social media. The duchess had reportedly overlooked the significance of Remembrance Day, a misstep that caught even Prince Harry off-guard.

Looking ahead, Gill suggested a less prestigious future for Meghan’s brand, quipping, “We might find As Ever products on discount shelves at TK Maxx soon. Royal biographer Tina Brown has remarked on Meghan’s poor judgment, which seems evident in her business endeavors.”

Harry and Meghan have allegedly invested millions into the aforementioned brand, and it has no silent partners or investors; it’s entirely self-made.

A source speaking to Shuter dished on the investment, sharing that Meghan and Harry both believed it was “bigger than anything” Meghan had ever done. The source said, “They went all in”, and the duchess’s hand-crafted, high-quality products do not compromise on quality, which also means they do not come cheap.

The same goes for her packaging, which was “all paid for upfront, ” the insider added, “This isn’t Etsy pricing…This is luxury production, luxury packing, and luxury storage”.
