Nollywood star and filmmaker Funke Akindele recently honored her late mother with a moving tribute, marking three years since her passing.

In a heartfelt social media post, Akindele referred to her mother as a “selfless queen,” highlighting her devotion to nurturing her children and grandchildren with love, discipline, and strong moral values.

The actress expressed that her mother prioritized their education, instilled self-belief, and imparted life principles that continue to guide her journey today.

“My darling Mother, today marks 3 years since you left us. Mummy, you were a selfless queen who gave us the best education, taught us to believe in ourselves, and raised strong children. Your legacy lives on in me, my siblings, and your grandchildren. Your teachings, knowledge, and discipline shaped me into who I am today. I celebrate you, mummy. May your kind soul continue to rest in peace. We love you, miss you, and will keep making you proud.”

In other news…A Nigerian man has been left in shock after a young woman identified as Precious Chinyere allegedly absconded with his car and other personal belongings following a hotel visit in Abuja.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, February 5, at a hotel in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). According to reports, the man and Precious checked into the hotel for a short stay as part of a romantic getaway.

Trouble began later in the evening when the man discovered that Precious had left the hotel room without informing him. It was alleged that she left with several of his personal items, including his mobile phones, laptop, and his car.

The distraught man reportedly lodged a complaint at a police station in Abuja the following morning.

Confirming the development, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the case is currently under investigation. She added that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the suspect.
