JSO Reports Four Injured in Jacksonville Westside Shooting as Authorities Launch Suspect Search

In an unfolding investigation, detectives are on the hunt for a suspect clad entirely in dark clothing, who fled the scene on foot in an indeterminate direction.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A shooting incident at a shopping center on Jacksonville’s westside has left four men hospitalized, authorities report.

The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, near Edgewood Avenue by the Paxon Shopping Center, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, officers discovered four men, aged between 44 and 57, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported three of the victims to a local hospital, while the fourth man sought medical attention by driving himself to a hospital.

Fortunately, officials have confirmed that all four men sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are currently in stable condition.

Detectives explain they are looking for a suspect who was seen in all dark clothing who left the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
