In a chilling development, a ransom note has surfaced in the case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, as reported by Tucson’s ABC affiliate, KGUN9. The note ominously demanded a payment by 5 p.m. on Monday, threatening dire consequences if the demand was not met. Specifically, it included a threat to “kill Nancy Guthrie” should the ransom remain unpaid.
KGUN9 journalist JJ McKinney revealed that several ransom notes have been disseminated to the media, with the station itself being one of the recipients. However, law enforcement officials have yet to confirm the authenticity of these communications.
This unsettling demand comes on the heels of Savannah Guthrie’s heartfelt plea on social media. On Saturday, she took to Instagram, expressing the family’s willingness to provide any ransom necessary to ensure her mother’s safe return.
As previously covered by CrimeOnline, Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Catalina Hills, Arizona, on the night of January 31. Her family reported her missing the following day, February 1, after she failed to attend a scheduled church service. The search for Nancy continues as authorities work tirelessly to piece together the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
The demand followed Savannah Guthrie’s plea Saturday on Instagram. She stated that the family is willing to pay for her mother’s safe return.
