Van Jones, a well-known CNN commentator, rose to prominence after describing Donald Trump’s 2016 election win over Hillary Clinton as a “whitelash.” Recently, Jones found himself surprised by unexpected responses during a segment on his show.
Despite his frequent warnings about the perceived dangers of President Donald Trump, the black voters he interviewed dismissed his alarmist narrative, challenging the notion of an impending societal collapse.
This development left Jones momentarily speechless.
To his credit, Jones has acknowledged that the Democratic Party’s recent extreme stances may be distancing potential supporters who would typically align with them:

Jones: If you had to do it all over again, would you vote for Donald Trump again, yes or no?
Voter one: Yes, I would. Now, in the future, I am not a diehard Democrat or diehard Republican. If there were a Democratic candidate who was more aligned for me, then I would vote Democrat.
Jones: If you go back in time, would you vote for Donald Trump, yes or no?
Voter two: Yes.
Jones: I think I might know the answer on this.
Voter two: She said yes. It’s immediately yes.
Voter three: 1,000% absolutely yes!
To be fair, Jones has been cognizant of the fact that his party has gone into full-blown nutso mode and is alienating voters who theoretically should be on their side:

Van Jones Drops Hammer on Democrats Regarding Joe Biden’s Demonstrable Decline
This isn’t to say that the leftie commentator is suddenly right — he’s wrong on virtually everything — but even he is seeing the writing on the wall that the Democrats have just plain gotten too extreme. Their messages on illegal immigration, crime, the economy, and so much more are simply falling flat with the electorate — because we’ve seen in the scientific lab that is California and Minnesota that the progressive polices there lead to failure, massive fraud, and the decline of the American Dream.
If Van Jones were honest, he would admit that it’s not a “whitelash” that took America by storm in 2016 and again in 2024, it’s an “American lash.” Voters finally grew cognizant of the fact that Democrat policies are leading to a diminishing nation, and that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, et al seek to minimize the greatness of the union, rather than fight for its rightful place as the bastion of freedom in a complex world.
Donald Trump has flaws, just like every other human being on the planet. But would I vote for him again? One thousand percent, as the lady said.
There are forces both within and outside this country who wish to bring us down, and they must be defeated.
