“Today” show host Savannah Guthrie has released a video message confirming that her family received new communication from those possibly involved in the disappearance of her mother, 84-year-old Savannah Guthrie.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Savannah Guthrie has expressed her willingness to negotiate for the safe return of her 84-year-old mother. Her plea comes amid growing concern for her mother’s well-being.
“We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay,” Savannah wrote, hoping to reach those who might have information about her mother’s whereabouts.
This development follows a significant message received by KOLD on Friday, which has since been handed over to law enforcement. KOLD has confirmed that they have shared the information with authorities for further investigation. Currently, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with federal investigators, is examining the lead.
“The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie. Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity,” stated officials from Pima County, highlighting the seriousness of the ongoing investigation.
Savannah’s appeal comes shortly after a similar plea from her brother, Camron Guthrie, as the family unites in their efforts to bring their mother home safely.
In a previous social media post, he urged the captors to reach out directly to the family, saying, “Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you. We haven’t heard anything directly.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home shortly before 10 p.m. on January 31. Her family reported her missing at around noon on February 1, after she missed church.
Investigators later found blood on her front porch, confirmed to be Nancy’s. Officials said that around 1:47 a.m. on February 1, Nancy’s doorbell camera had been disconnected. At 2 a.m., Nancy’s pacemaker pinged her phone.
At around 2:12 a.m., security camera software detected movement, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, although he could not confirm the source of the movement.
On Thursday, the FBI announced a $50,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of anyone associated with Nancy Guthrie’s abduction.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). Tipsters can also contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department tip line at 520-351-4900.
