Emergency responders were dispatched to Moseley Street in Mansfield Park, located in Adelaide’s north-west, around 9:30 am today. A concerned neighbor, alarmed by the sound of screams, swiftly contacted Triple Zero for assistance.
Soon after the paramedics arrived, the woman’s friends and family, visibly shaken, gathered at the location.
According to police reports, the unfortunate incident occurred when the woman exited her Toyota SUV, which unexpectedly rolled forward, pinning her beneath it.
She was immediately transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for urgent medical care.
Neighbor Navye Poliyadath witnessed the scene as paramedics carefully loaded the 39-year-old woman into the waiting ambulance.
“I hope she’s OK,” Poliyadath said.
The woman’s husband told 9News his wife is in a coma in intensive care.
Police will tow the vehicle as they investigate what went wrong.
