Kaley Cuoco recently opened up about her experience with Botox, sharing insights from her career in an exclusive interview. As she chatted with Amanda Hirsch on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Cuoco, now 40, revealed her initial foray into Botox treatments while working on “The Big Bang Theory.” The episode is scheduled to air on Tuesday, February 10.
Reflecting on her first Botox session, Cuoco recounted, “I decided to try Botox on my forehead and some other areas. I was thrilled at first, but it happened to coincide with a week where I had to perform a specific facial expression for a scene, and I found myself unable to move my face.” She humorously noted the awkwardness of the situation, adding, “I couldn’t believe how bad it looked, even though no one on set commented on it. It was about halfway through the series that I tried the anti-aging treatment.”
She continued, “I was delivering jokes and nothing on my face moved. It was as if I was trying to make an expression, but my forehead remained completely still.” This experience led Cuoco to reconsider her approach to Botox, realizing she needed to moderate the treatments to maintain her natural expressiveness.
In a lighter moment, Cuoco also shared her recent attempt at a complicated TikTok hair tutorial, a venture many can relate to. “I’m obsessed with watching hairstyle videos,” she admitted in a humorous Instagram clip posted on Tuesday, August 29. Standing in front of a bathroom mirror with her friend and celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg, Cuoco’s playful experiment showcased her down-to-earth personality and willingness to laugh at herself.
“Rein it in,” she said. “So I reined it in and now I don’t do my forehead, but sister, I love Botox.”
Cuoco shared that she now gets it on the sides of her eyes and in her neck. She also gets filler in her neck to “smooth out” a crease she had.
Elsewhere in the episode, Cuoco said she’s on her “second pair” of breast implants. “I would love a third pair,” she said. “Best decision I ever made.”
Cuoco previously opened up about how much she loved having breast implants while chatting with Redbook Magazine in 2014.
“I had no boobs! And it really was the best thing ever,” she told the publication. “I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy.”
In 2016, Cuoco revealed that she also got a nose job during an episode with Women’s Health.
“Years ago, I had my nose done and my boobs — best thing I ever did,” she shared. “Recently I had filler in a line in my neck I’ve had since I was 12.”
Cuoco explained her decision, sharing, “As much as you want to love your inner self, I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing.”
She also opened up about her workout routine evolving with age. “The bottom line is I’m not 21 anymore, so it used to be so easy and I didn’t have to do as much,” Cuoco said. “But you’re getting a little older and I’ve got to cut things out. It’s important, it’s now part of my day. Working out is part of my day, eating right is part of my day.”
