Tragic Incident: Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Bus in Sydney

In a tragic incident today, a pedestrian has lost his life after being involved in a collision with a bus in Sydney’s inner west.

Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene on the Princes Highway in Tempe following reports of the accident around 12:15 p.m.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a 39-year-old man who had been struck by the bus.

Despite the efforts of paramedics who attended to him, the man unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

He was treated by paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

The 45-year-old bus driver was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.

The Princes Highway is closed northbound between Forest Road at Arncliffe and Union Street at Tempe.

A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
