Mario is wholeheartedly embracing his new role as a father!
On Monday, the singer shared a heartfelt moment with his followers via Instagram Stories, posting a touching photo where he lovingly gazes at his newborn son.
In the snapshot, Mario is seen standing with a firm grip on a stroller’s handle, his eyes locked affectionately on his little one, who is comfortably nestled in the stroller.
Accompanying the image, Mario expressed how the experience of becoming a father has profoundly impacted him.
“Staring at you because I love you so much, and I never knew I could love this deeply without hesitation! You’ve already made me a better person. You’ve helped me break a cycle that only God could break! Thank you, Lord!” he wrote.
Mario and his girlfriend, Esmeralda Rios, welcomed their son earlier this year. He announced the news on Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan. 26, sharing a selfie taken while he was dressed in blue medical scrubs.
Over the image, he revealed that his son had arrived. He also used the moment to express gratitude and admiration for women.
“Women are God’s greatest creation cuz what I witness today was ONLY GODS work! Healthy baby boy!” he wrote.
The birth followed Mario’s pregnancy announcement in late August, when he shared a photo showing his hand resting on Rios’ baby bump.
“It’s a whole universe in there! 🥹 I can’t wait,” he wrote at the time.
Before becoming a father, Mario spoke about his thoughts on parenthood during a 2023 interview with V-103 Atlanta.
“I don’t take having kids lightly,” he said. “Everybody I know [has] kids. Some of my friends [that are] younger have kids, some of my friends [that are] older have kids, and it comes with a lot of pros and cons. And I also grew up without a father. So, I want to do it right when I do do it. You know, I got time. So, I’m not rushing into that.”
