Michael McKee, an Illinois resident, is facing charges for the alleged murder of his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, along with her husband, Spencer Tepe. He is set to return to court later this month.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that McKee, aged 39, has a court date in Ohio’s Franklin County Common Pleas Court scheduled for April 16. For more details, visit their official article.

CrimeOnline earlier reported that McKee is facing charges for two counts of aggravated murder, in addition to aggravated burglary.

The accusations stem from the alleged killings of the Tepe couple at their residence in Columbus on December 30. Authorities found two young children in the home, who were unharmed physically.

Whether McKee will make a court appearance in April remains uncertain, and the completion of the discovery process by the next hearing is also in question, reports the Dispatch.

Investigators linked McKee to the murders through neighborhood security footage in the Tepe’s Columbus neighborhood.

Police found the couple fatally shot inside their residence after a family friend became concerned when Spencer Tepe failed to show up to his Athens dental practice.

Investigators later linked his vehicle to the crime scene and found a firearm in his Rockford apartment that matched shell casings found at the scene.

McKee has pleaded not guilty and remains behind bars without bail.
