Robert Irwin, the celebrated victor of the 34th season of Dancing With The Stars, recently attended the Super Bowl for the first time. The wildlife enthusiast and television personality expressed a playful desire to join Bad Bunny’s halftime performance as a dancer. Robert clinched victory on December 2, 2025, alongside his dance partner, Witney Carson.
Despite lacking formal dance training, Robert consistently outperformed his competitors on the Dancing With The Stars leaderboard. His routines were frequently met with high praise and perfect scores from the panel of judges, which included Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and a series of guest judges. Inspired by his sister Bindi’s triumph in season 21 with Derek Hough, Robert pursued his dream of dancing on the show, while continuing the legacy of his late father, Steve Irwin, in wildlife conservation.
The season 34 finale saw five dynamic pairs vying for the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Ultimately, Robert and Witney emerged victorious. The runners-up were Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, followed by Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa in third place. Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach secured fourth place, with Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten rounding out the top five.

Dancing With The Stars Season 34 Winner Robert Irwin Wanted To Perform In Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show
The morning after the Super Bowl, which took place on February 8, 2026, in an interview with Extra’s Derek Hough, Robert spoke about his first Super Bowl experience, including Bad Bunny’s halftime show. He called the show “all-time” and gushed, “I think it was the absolute best. I mean, it felt like… you were coming home… like you were part of someone’s story, you were in someone’s backyard… It was beautiful. It was personal. It was heartfelt and plus that bloke can groove… he’s got the sauce.”
Robert then joked that he was ready to take to the field if Bad Bunny had extended an invitation to him to join the halftime show. He said, “I was ready. If Bad Bunny, like, pointed me out, I was ready to just like rip away and go full salsa.”
Robert Rooted For The Seattle Seahawks For A Personal Reason
After watching the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots by a score of 29 to 13, he said, “It was insane. Not in Australia anymore!” He revealed that he was rooting for the Seahawks to win because, “My mom is from the Pacific Northwest, so going into it, I’m like ‘Hawks all the way. So, it was a lot of fun, but it was a spectacle.” Robert added, “It just kind of brings together everyone, which was really special.”
Robert also told Derek that he wants to return for next year’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles. He said, “I am there. I am there, 100 percent.”
Robert certainly has the talent to have performed in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. Although he was mostly joking, it would’ve been exciting to see him take to the field and dance again. With his charismatic personality and technical dance skills, he should be on stage dancing regularly. Robert was one of the most entertaining and joyous performers in Dancing With The Stars history, and his win was well-deserved.
