According to a recent survey, a significant number of Australians—three-quarters, to be exact—are being compelled to tighten their belts and reduce their spending.
Belionda Mamet, a NAB Retail Executive, noted that younger Australians have grasped the importance of saving money from an early age.
“Young Aussies should commend themselves for the progress they’ve already made,” she remarked.
“Although cutting back and saving might seem dull, our younger customers are handling their finances impressively well,” she added.
Mamet encouraged Australians aiming to save money to use the New Year as a chance for a fresh start, suggesting they begin with modest budgeting objectives.
“Pause, reset, and make a couple of small changes that help you feel back in control after a busy summer of celebrations and higher than usual spending,” she said.
“If you’re exhausted with cut back fatigue, don’t cut more, just don’t quit what you’re already doing. Small, repeatable actions can make a big difference.”
