Casey Wasserman, who serves as the chairman of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28), is facing intensified scrutiny due to his past connections with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. This controversy has sparked significant debate and concern among officials and the public alike.

An investigation led by Eric Sheehan has revealed that, between 2016 and 2019, two companies owned by Wasserman—LCW LLC and 247 Group LLC—received a total of $3.6 million from LA28. These payments were reportedly for “travel expenses” and social media marketing. Court documents obtained by In Touch magazine corroborate the findings of Sheehan’s investigative team.

Sheehan, a spokesperson for NOlympics LA—an organization opposing Los Angeles as the host city for the 2028 Games—told In Touch that Wasserman had traveled on Epstein’s private jet approximately ten times and was listed in Epstein’s infamous “black book.” This revelation has added fuel to the ongoing controversy surrounding Wasserman.

Despite these serious allegations, Sheehan expressed skepticism about the Los Angeles City Council addressing the payments Wasserman made to his own companies. “City Council has never mentioned Casey Wasserman paying his own company, and I don’t think they ever will,” he told In Touch, highlighting Wasserman’s influential status as “Hollywood royalty.”

In light of these developments, there is mounting pressure from California and local government officials for Wasserman to step down from his role. Furthermore, L.A. City Controller Kenneth Mejia has raised concerns regarding Wasserman’s suitability to oversee the vast financial resources required for organizing the Olympic event. This controversy has cast a shadow over the preparations for the 2028 Games and raised questions about the integrity of its leadership.

Now, California and local government officials are demanding Wasserman step down — and L.A. City Controller Kenneth Mejia is questioning whether the wunderkind should handle the billions needed for the Olympic event.

“Los Angeles cannot trust our financial future to someone connected with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell,” Mejia declared on X. L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn fumes, per Fox 11, “Having [Wasserman] represent us on the world stage distracts focus from our athletes and the enormous efforts needed to prepare for 2028.”

Prominent members of the LA28 Olympic committee have opted not to speak out about the allegations facing Wasserman. They include Jessica Alba, Gene Sykes, Alison Ressler, Anita L. DeFrantz, Beatriz Acevedo, Elaine Chao, George L. Pla, Jaime Lee Curtis, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ken Moelis, Mark Attanasio, Pete Rodriguez, Reince Priebus, Stuart Waldman, Rich Bender, Dexter Paine, Virginia Sung, Daria Schneider, Mung Chiang, Lawrence “Bubba” Cunningham, Dr. Vivek Murthy and Lex Gillette.

In a statement to NBC News, LA28’s executive committee of the board said: “We found Mr. Wasserman’s relationship with Epstein and Maxwell did not go beyond what has already been publicly documented,” adding, “Mr. Wasserman should continue to lead LA28 and deliver a safe and successful Games.”

Per the Los Angeles Times, Wasserman has been facing calls for his resignation amid disturbing allegations of sordid affairs, kinky romps and corruption. And now, in a world exclusive, In Touch can reveal his steamy messages to Maxwell.

Demands for the 51-year-old honcho’s head erupted after the U.S. Department of Justice released a new tranche of Epstein files, showing the then-married dad of two exchanging titillating messages with Epstein’s madam, Maxwell, who is currently serving 20 years in a federal penitentiary for sex trafficking.

In one 2003 exchange, Maxwell gushes that she had been thinking about him “at inappropriate moments.” Smitten Wasserman replies, “I think of you all the time … So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?”

The sassy socialite seductively promises, “I shall be wearing a tight leather flying suit …”

In another missive, Wasserman pines, “I miss you,” and pleads, “Can we book that massage now?”

She teases, “All that rubbing — are you sure you can take it? The thought frankly is leaving me a little breathless.”

Ian Maxwell, Ghislaine’s brother, exclusively tells In Touch, “I do not recall Ghislaine mentioning him in any conversations we had. But then sadly I haven’t had many ‘free-wheeling’ conversations with her since we last properly saw one another in London in June 2019 before all the Epstein madness erupted with his death.”

Wasserman himself says of the imprisoned madam, via BBC, “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.”

Wasserman — who flew on Epstein’s private jet, now known as the Lolita Express, for a 2002 -humanitarian trip to Africa with former President Bill Clinton, actor Chris Tucker and sex pest Kevin Spacey — denies having a personal or business relationship with the billionaire creep, who was found hanged in a New York City jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex -trafficking.

The notorious nepo baby — his grandfather was late Universal Pictures fat cat Lew Wasserman, who reportedly had ties to the mob — emerged unscathed following a 2024 scandal where he was accused of being a serial cheater and relentlessly seducing high-paid female subordinates. He had no comment at the time.

Wasserman is “deeply connected” to a lot of powerful people, Sheehan says, and they protect him because they “do not want to get on his bad side — [he] can make or break political careers. He is a kingmaker. He can do a lot for you, and he can do a lot to hurt you.”

Wasserman’s former secretary and alleged mistress turned chief of staff at LA28, Patricia Feau — who reportedly was earning $350,000 annually — resigned as VP of Host City Relations in January 2025, per The Wrap, following the furor over the menacing mogul. Feau denied the affair to Daily Mail, while Wasserman’s spokeswoman declined to comment.

Bethany Cosentino, the frontwoman of L.A. band Best Coast, has called on Wasserman — the founder and CEO of her agency, Wasserman Music — to step down.

“As an artist represented by Wasserman, I did not consent to having my name or my career tied to someone with this kind of association to exploitation,” she declared, via Variety. “Staying quiet isn’t something I can do in good conscience — especially in a moment when men in power are so often protected, excused, or allowed to move on without consequence. Pretending this isn’t a big deal is not an option for me.”

Chappell Roan also announced on Monday, February 10, that she was no longer being represented by Wasserman, explaining in an Instagram Story, per Page Six, “I refuse to passively stand by.”

According to USA Today, Dropkick Murphys, Chelsea Cutler, Hippo Campus and Wednesday have also parted ways with Wasserman’s company.
