Since stepping into the spotlight as First Lady, Melania Trump has not only captured attention for her role in the administration but also for her timeless style and impeccable makeup choices.
Melania consistently presents a polished image, frequently opting for understated, camera-ready makeup that enhances her naturally glowing, bronzed complexion. This signature look has become synonymous with her public appearances.
Her style staples include a neutral, pink lip paired with dark, smoky eyes—a combination that she sported at various public engagements, from her visit to the New York Stock Exchange to a movie premiere in Washington, D.C.
So, what are the secrets behind her seemingly flawless appearance?
Nicole Bryl, Melania’s personal makeup artist, has previously shared insights into the products behind the former model’s airbrushed looks. Interestingly, Melania often favors affordably priced items from brands like Urban Decay and Estée Lauder, which contribute to her classic and sophisticated style.
Bryl has been working with the family since Barron Trump was born, in 2003, making her a longtime ally of the First Family.
During an extensive interview with Us Weekly, in the wake of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Bryl revealed that to create the First Lady’s look on the momentous day, she primarily used lip products by Urban Decay.
She created a soft, glossy pink look for Trump during the day as she sported a baby blue, cashmere Ralph Lauren dress to support her husband as he took office in the White House.Â

The lip gloss has since been discontinued, but the brand still markets a similar item, in the form of the Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipstick, for $28.
At night, when Trump made her way around the inauguration ball circuit, Bryl freshened up the look with a layer of Urban Decay’s $21 Vice Lipstick in Naked Cream over Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in Rose, which retails for $30.Â
When it came to Trump’s signature smokey eyes, she applied Estée Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Defining Eye Shadow Wet/Dry in Brash Bronze, which has also since been discontinued.
However, Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Corrupt, which she also used for Trump’s eyes, is still sold for $23 at major retailers like Sephora.
Bryl applied both of those products on Trump’s upper and lower lash lines.
Trump has also been known to use products from Bryl’s namesake skincare line, including her $450 ‘Face Lifting Water.’
‘I certainly spend the most amount of time on my client’s skin,’ Bryl admitted during a previous interview with Women’s Wear Daily.

During an extensive interview with Us Weekly back in 2017, her makeup artist revealed that to create Trump’s inauguration day looks, she primarily used lip products by Urban DecayÂ
‘Ensuring that there is always a gentle, flawless glow and that everything is blended perfectly is a skill I never tire of perfecting,’ she continued.
‘I would also say I have a gift for customizing individual eyelashes quickly,’ the makeup artist added.
At the time, Bryl also added that she wasn’t nervous about doing makeup for the now-First Lady. Â
‘As Melania and I have worked together for so many years, I feel comforted when I’m with her, which is always a great advantage,’ Bryl revealed to the outlet.Â
‘I’m not all of a sudden nervous to do my job now just because her title has changed to first lady. I’m simply excited for her to shine.’

Over the years, Trump’s makeup look has remained largely the same, especially when it comes to her smokey eyes.
In the past, when beauty experts have tried to re-create her look, they’ve used other celeb-favored brands like Charlotte Tilbury, though Trump herself has never confirmed their use.
However, there is one thing she’s made it clear that she’s against, and that’s Botox. Â
‘A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn’t do anything. I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body,’ Melania said during an interview with GQ Magazine.
‘I’m against Botox, I’m against injections; I think it’s damaging your face, damaging your nerves. It’s all me. I will age gracefully.’
The magazine also detailed that Melania eats ‘seven pieces of fruit’ every day and takes moisturizing her skin very seriously.Â
