In an unusual incident at a Michigan McDonald’s, a woman has admitted to an assault involving a cup of coffee and a heated argument with an employee. The woman, identified as 49-year-old Casharra Brown, pleaded guilty after a confrontation that escalated when she threw what she described as “semi-warm” coffee at a staff member.

The altercation took place on November 4, 2025, as Brown expressed her frustration over what she claimed was an excessively long wait for her order—over an hour, according to her account. Brown had utilized the McDonald’s app to place her order, but issues arose when she neglected to include her name and payment details, leading to complications in processing her request.

Footage capturing the incident reveals a heated exchange between Brown and the cashier. During the argument, Brown can be seen demanding to speak with another employee and accusing the cashier of being dishonest, referring to her as a “liar.”

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential for misunderstandings and frustration in fast-food environments, particularly with the increased reliance on digital ordering systems. As businesses and customers continue to navigate these technologies, clear communication and patience remain crucial.

Video footage showed Brown arguing with the cashier, demanding to see another staff member and calling the woman a “liar.”

She claimed she would take the issue to corporate.

The pair argued over a transaction, with the staff member asserting that it had been cancelled and the refund would take up to 48 hours to process.

The staff member then walked away and Brown threw the hot coffee over her back. The staff member shrieked as Brown cursed her out, calling her a “b—h” and saying “f–k you” before storming out.

“Catch that hot a– coffee,” was also said.

It was later revealed that the staff member had not been hurt — as the coffee was only “semi-warm”, according to MLIVE.

The staff member simply did not want Brown to be able to return to the restaurant.

Buena Vista Police Department shared the video, which was filmed by another customer, on November 4.

Brown was arraigned and granted bond on the condition that she would not go to any McDonald’s restaurants.

Brown pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of assault and battery, Daily Mail reported.

She will have to travel from her home state of Georgia to Michigan in March for sentencing.

She faces a maximum sentence of 93 days in prison and a $500 fine.
