In Blountville, Tennessee, an operation led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents has resulted in the discovery of 29 individuals, as confirmed by local authorities.
Captain Andy Seabolt, a spokesperson for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, explained that the ICE operation commenced on Wednesday. The focus was on identifying and removing undocumented immigrants who had been previously flagged as having possible connections to dangerous criminal gangs, as well as those facing criminal charges or possessing extensive criminal records.
