CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A second grader was left stranded at his bus stop on Wednesday morning when the bus driver shut the doors prematurely, igniting concern from his family and prompting the Charleston School District to seek an investigation into the incident.
Security camera footage reveals the young boy approaching the bus behind two other children. The first two students board without incident, but as the seven-year-old reaches the doors, they abruptly close, stranding him on the sidewalk.
