A recall has been announced for Tippy Toes’ Apple, Pear, Banana baby food with a “best by” date of July 17, 2026.

WASHINGTON — On Friday, the company behind Tippy Toes baby food initiated a recall for one of its puree products.

The Food and Drug Administration conducted tests on a batch of Apple Pear Banana Fruit puree and discovered elevated levels of patulin. This product is available throughout the United States, with the exception of Alaska, and it may have also been distributed to U.S. territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico.

Patulin is a natural toxin produced by molds that can develop in various fruits, particularly apples. The FDA’s recall notice warns that prolonged exposure to patulin can lead to potential health issues, including immune system suppression, nerve damage, headaches, fever, and nausea.

As of February 13, the FDA has reported that no illnesses related to the recall have been reported.

The product is sold in two-pack plastic tubs with a “best by” date of July 17, 2026.

  • UPC : 036800265783.
  • Lot number: 07174
  • Package code identifier: INIA0120

If you have the recalled product, the FDA advises that you discontinue use, return it at the place where it was purchased or throw it out.

The FDA also urges consumers to contact their health care provider if any health issues arise after consuming the product.
